Nice arena-type game!
I've found a bug, though: after you kill all the enemies in level three, no door opens, so you find yourself trapped in the room.

heroyooky responds:

Thank you. Yes there seems to be a bug that sometimes affects triggering the room complete. Sorry you had run into it during your play through.

I liked the style and the graphics. It's a solid platformer, with good controls and easy-to-learn dynamics.
Why the low score, then? Because you ripped off a big quantity (if not all) of the sprites from Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion (main character, enemies, etc.). This is really low. You have good game-making skills, and should not waste your efforts by ripping off other games' graphics.

alevgor responds:

Since this is a tribute game as stated in the description, I definitely used DDHM (and not only) sprites as a base for making sprites for characters and some of the enemies, but I don't agree on the "ripped" word. I can show you the sprites in comparison if you want to see, how similar or different they are.
In any case, thanks for the honest opinion.
And yes, I make completely original games as well.

Very funny little puzzle game!
The game mechanics are simple, but entertaining. The graphics are nice, too!
The controls are good, I don't see why someone would complain about the controls... arrow keys to move, and buttons to operate blocks.
Would definitely like seeing more levels for this one!

Diemorth responds:

Thanks so much for your words, I'm glad you have adapted well to the controls :} and I'm motivated to create more levels for this game, but there is still a lot that needs to change! :D

Really nice game!
The game mechanics are simple and easy to master, so all you need to do is to concentrate on the level and the challenges that await you. I liked the boss at the end: challenging but not frustrating, like old school platform games where you had to study a boss and his attack patterns before giving him a solid beating!
The graphics are very nice, and I'm curious about how the story will go on.

P.s.: I found a strange bug. After you meet the TentaCat with glasses, sounds mute. From that moment to the end, you can only hear music. If you take the chili pepper, you will hear the fire sound, but that only.

PKTORA responds:

Thank you for playing my demo! I'll look into that bug.

Sorry pal, but I can't get this to work properly.
1) The tutorial is entirely in Korean, and you can't change that. I reached the part with the big jump, but couldn't make past it, because I didn't understand what the dude on the cloud said. So I had to skip the tutorial (which isn't a great thing: tutorials are supposed to teach you how to play, if you can't understand a tutorial what's its use?)
2) In what I suppose is the "lobby" (the room with the dude on the cloud and another dude), I tried to change the language from the options menu, but the language always reverted back to Korean. So, again, I wasn't able to understand what people said;
3) After clicking "Game Start", I've been taken to a world map. I've tried to click on level 1-1, but nothing happened. I tried to click on it, to press any of the keys used in the game, even enter or space, but nothing happened. I've seen that some users said that the combat is fine, so I suppose they managed to actually start the game somehow. It would be nice if they said what to press in order to start. But that shouldn't be a burden on the shoulders of reviewers, it should be the developer's duty to address those issues.

UPDATE:
Ok, I managed to get it to work by realoading the game. This time, the game started for real. The combat system is nice, and I love the animations of the enemies, how they get thrashed every time you hit them. I also appreciated the fact that you don't take damage just by touching the enemies, but only when enemies actually attack you (that's a rare thing in platforms).
(P.s. score updated. But you should really look into that bug that doesn't make you start the game and requires you to reaload the game itself)

olivecrow responds:

Thank you for your feedback! There are many errors because of my poor programming skills... It is questionable why an error has occurred that is not accessible, and I'm looking into the cause. Please let me know if you can't get through to this update :)

Nice game! Short, but fun!
I've seen that you can travel freely across in-world items (like beds, tables, etc.). Is that a glitch?

OmnipotentIndie responds:

Nope, it was more decoration that anything else. But yeah, i would often find playtesters get confused on that too.

Very nice! Loved its simple but challenging concept!
I'd love to see a version with more levels!
(P.s. is the creepy ending leaving some space for a sequel?)

EvilObjective responds:

There is more to Mr. Stank than meets the eyes...

The game is nice... the mechanics are easy to understand.
However, the difficulty curve is a little too steep... the difficulty raises suddenly from level 2 to level 3!

Aethyri responds:

Thanks! I'll tweak level 3 for the next update.

I liked it very much!
To the people who say it's laggy: it's not the author's fault. It's because Bitsy, the tool used to make this game, is more cpu-intensive than it seems. On some computers (laptops expecially), its way of rendering tiles may make the game lag.
Anyway, Great job!

Mantis1 responds:

Yep yep, thank you :)

Fun game! The dynamics were interesting, and I loved the retro graphics!
What I found the most interesting, is the last level (or I'd better say, the trip to the last station): it's night, and no one is around. You're the only one left on the train, alone. Your character doesn't run anymore, she just walks. Every selfie taken during this last ride gives no points, because there's nothing worth of capturing. I think it's a nice metaphor of one of the negative side-effects of social media: some people end up living for their "online life", and when there's nothing worth of sharing with others, a sudden void shows up. Silence falls, and they're left pondering if maybe there could be more.
Great game, I hope to see more from you!

OmarShehata responds:

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. It made my day hearing people connect with it like that!
